Water tiles

Water tiles

An aquatic wall tile to touch in every corner.

Give a material to water: it is to make it physical. TO give shape to what does not have any of it, is finally the purpose of any designer...
Following the Surface project, I wanted to continue my work on the tactile perception of water. To concretize my first researches, I worked in bigger, with more matter and especially with more movements of water. This gave birth to a series of several wall tiling to touch.
This work questions the smooth and hygienic tiling around us. It is also part of sensory and sensual research of space, in order to consider space in terms of interactions and dynamic interrelationships (Pallasma in Le regards des sens).

So touching those water tiles, perhaps it would be then the sensation that we would have if we could touch the water's surface?
