Swarm
Mark of spread liquid.
During a workshop with the paper company LANA, I worked with a ream consisting of 50% polyethylene. This property provides a transparency when the sheet is heated.
I then used hot wax. I accepted that it spreads on paper : several sheets each with three times the quantity, others in an increasing amount, multiplied by three. In the end it is the light that reveals the way the wax has spread. Thus the object is created by the combination of a letting go of the fluid that spreads and a specific protocol, chosen and imposed. These lamps are witness to the «swarming» hot liquid as well as to the allegiance between the matter and the designer.
